Hi i have soccer for about 2 more months and i would like to run winter and spring track, mainly concentrating on the 800. So far after soccer my plan is fairly basic, Fartlek’s one day, intervals 2x, mileage 3x, and rest 1 day a week. So i got about 2 months to train till basically the winter meets start.
Fartleks- run 2 miles do 5 second sprint and 20 second jog
intervals- 10X400 with 3 mins rest
long runs- run 3.5 miles
I was basically wondering if this looks like a solid plan.
What about Int. Tempo? Do you plan on doing any of that? I heard it helps.
