Hard spot on shin

To sum up:

-Touring team from Scotland came to play Rugby and I tackled a guy
-A teammate of his cleated my calf when he landed on me (accident) and it swelled up and bruised for 2-3 weeks
-Bruise is gone, there is a hard spot there now.

…what do I do to get rid of it? It’s about an inch and a half long up my shin bone and starts about 2 inches above the top of my ankle.

Anyone??

Could be a calcium deposit, can sometimes form from similiar incidents, but I would probably get other opinions.

That’s what I was thinking, but why would that develop from a bruise?

I am unsure why they develop, I had a fairly large one develop in high school from football, probably a little smaller than a golf ball in my upper arm. Besides initial tenderness after the pain from the bruise there really wasnt much to it, it lasted for a few months as it continued getting smaller. Thats just my experience.

Oh ok, so it dissapeared then? I don’t want it there forever, and in particular effecting my performance…
