Yeah, I’m really looking forward to seeing this. Who knows, there may be hope for me yet, even at my age. I could lower my hunnert meter dash or at least my PR in the weight room (get it, LOWER my PR ). FWIW, my little brother religiously followed a HIT program for about two years and got NOTHING to show for it in the end. He was always sore and tired and the end result was him still being stuck on the same weight poundage and quitting in frustration.
Yes, but did his team allow him to take the required 7 days off between each workout?
That’s what I like about this kind of stuff. Whenever there’s a bad outcome, it’s because it wasn’t done right.
This young pup, working with teens, with three months experience, has come on here to explain how “annoyed” he was reading my rebuttal to HIT and how blind we are for not seeing the light as he sees it.
While expecting blanket acceptance of his own outlandish claims, out of hand and without a clue, he’s called a special forces combat veteran, top S and C coach, built like a brick shithouse, a pencilneck, then expresses surprise when he takes umbrige.
Results? Well, he has them, he just can’t lay his hands on them till the work-week starts. If you have great results, can’t you remember them over the weekend?
He says his group will frighten us. I don’t know about them, but he’s sounding a bit scary.
ATTENTION, ATTENTION, ATTENTION
200% strength increase in three, yes 3 DAYS!
(last week, [Monday] after snatching 70kg, overhead squatted it, bailed on the 2nd. [Thursday] snatched 70kg, overhead squatted it, bailed on the 4th)
200% and that was without the 7 days off…take that “seanjos” and H.I.T.
Charlie, most of us here (probably 99%) are very thankful for every minute you put into this site. I’m sure I can speak on the behalf of many others and say that we would not be where we are today without your hard work. We’re not all GOD like “seanjos”, and we all owe you a constant thank you.
What debate?

Not about going from lifting 50 lbs in the squat to 120lbs, that’s 2 weeks on any program.
It’s obviously one of the two cases above. In the first one it would be sad that a CSCS can’t measure a strength gain properly: going from a 2RM to a 4RM with the same weight roughly depicts a 7.5% increase in maximal strength. In the second case it would be sad that a CSCS can’t recognize that whoever increase his strength by 220% in three months was previously undertrained, overtrained or simply badly trained and SURELY not strong.

Suits sprinters and short distances ( Venue - Ducie High School) Manchester
As the videos are not coming, please somebody go…
Sean - are you only based at the outdoor track in crossford bridge (Sale Harriers) and Ducie High School/The academy (Manchester Harriers)?
One was posted as a joke. the other joke was unintended.
i call troll and we’ve all been “had” !!
Shame on us for even responding!!
Hey Seanjos. you heard of strength shoes? give those to your athletes and they’ll be world beaters
Just wait until he hears about functional training…
Is there a schedule for todays H.I.T. debate, I have to attemp to time it with the election?
To quote former Conservative PM, Kim Campbell: “An election is no time for a serious debate!”
Charlie,
Your not cynical of both are you???
Cynical? Hey, I love politicians! Where else can you hear gems like:“Those guys are crooks. Give us a chance!” It’s like muggers at the ATM vying for the rights to your wallet.
Well, still waiting for the proof that will set us straight.
Perhaps, like Mentzer’s success stories, seanjos’s Herculeans have been so overwhelmed with congratulatory calls that they’ve had to disconnect their phones.
In Seanjos’s first post he mentioned that Mentzer’s logic was black and white. If Mentzers were overwhelmed with congratulatory calls then Seanjos must be receiving?? with his adaptive H.I.T style training!! Hell you try to get an explanation from him and his thinking is so fuzzy he never knows what to write!!
HIT does not teach the athlete to repeat power e.g. how can you compare doing one set of squats to failure with doing 10 sets of 1-3 using heavy weights and squatting very explosively.
One set of squats to failure will make you sore for days due to muscle damage and glycogen depletion - plus the weight’s used are very light when you compare them to what olympic and powerlifter’s used.
And I can say if HIT was the answer then Westside would be doing it and the Bulgarions would be doing one set of cleans to failure - now if you have got a brain cell follow the strongest most powerfull men in the world and look at what they are doing.
As much as I despise sHIT, at least some of the programs(are they really programs at all?) use only machines. A sHIT program with the inclusion of squats does not sound good but at least not nearly as bad as the typical sHIT I’m used to witho almost no free weights. Not really a ringing endorsement, is it?
Here we go again…
You despise H.I.T ??? Whats that about ??
Are you saying this from a sprinters standpoint or do you just think a fallacy ?
Seanjos
Can you please post the proof that you promised? Can you tell us specifically about the gains the athletes made. Not just percentages, just how much they were lifting before and how much now in x or y lift and how fast they were sprinting before and how fast now and at what bodyweight.
