GPP after an injury

anyone with any coaching or personal experiences with post injury training:

how would you construct a general prep phase after a lay off period of being inactive? my main concern will be to reintroduce strength (squat/dead/bench/pull ups) and working on conditioning. i never did a true GPP due to the fact that i was doing conditioning year round in football, so i felt no need for one. i was just wondering the best way to piece a solid GPP together so i can be ready for speed work.

I would take a look at NASM’s SET phase and do plenty of bodyweight movements.

Why can’t someone do speedwork right off the bat?
