Glute Strain HELP needed

What do you do for an upper/outer left glute strain?

Can only feel the slight pain when stretching it or going up stairs.

I think a few weeks ago I overstretched it laying down and pulling the knee to chest.

Rest it. No speedwork or even tempo.

I am recovering from something similar. Should take me about 10 days before I can hit tempo again. Be careful with it. Mine was aggravating me for about 2 weeks and I ran a race with it bothering me. Big mistake.

If you can get massage get it.


There is no reason that you cant get in the pool. You should be able to do some very light mobility work in the water as well as some “tempo” type work pulling with your upper body.
