when doing my flying 30’s i use a 20 meter fly zone.
my question is if i should be at submax velocity when i get into the zone what makes it differnt than running a 50? im assuming the difference is because i do not have to accelerate the first 5 meters as hard as i would in a straight 50.
Q i’m sure you will be more relaxed while using the 20m run in.the acceleration should be hard as it is difficult to reach top speed within 20m.the difference with the flying work and all out run is the run ins are more relaxed and the whole runs as in 50m will be forced from step 1.there is actually no difference between the 2 ways but as i said the 50m run itself will be run harder from go
charlie,
i have my 20 meter fly zone,
and i am taking a step into it staying low and accelaration and when i hit the start of the 30 i am tall and fly for 30 meters.
i guess the differnce in doing the flying 30’s and straight 50’s from a standing start is that i have the first 2 steps to play with instead of worrying about getting out as hard as i can my first 2 steps.
sorry if it sounds complex im having a hard time explaining myself on this topic!! :o
