Anyone have experience with this method?
had it with some achilles tendon problems and deep tissue muscle probs(scar tissue)
dis wotk raher well, but look out for damage to bloodvessels. If damaged it take sa few days to recover,
What is the injury?
An old case of shin-splints. “Diagnosed” as chronic compartment syndrome.
From what I have gathered this form of treatment is much debated among professionals, but slowly gaining in popularity.
Shock wave is used to break up calcium deposits and possibly some scar tissue. Whether it is better than existing therapies is a matter of debate and probably depends on what (or who) else is available. If you havn’t had any success with existing therapy, it’s worth a try.
I have been certified to perform shock wave therapy. It is usually a last chance option who individuals who don’t respond to conservative treatment. As most people have already said, it causes damage to the tissues and forces to body to regenerate itself. It can be quite painful, and takes a period of time until the beneficial effects can be seen (depends on the type of machine used). A series of three treatments can be used for a patient until a surgical option is explored. Hope this helps!
its quite good for Kidney Stones…
other than that im not really sure
