The Vancouver04 s-l and l-s are very specific for a certain (or certain type of) target individual, which may be VERY different from the individual for whom the question is being asked.
As Charlie has pointed out a number of times, these are SAMPLES and not formulas to be followed in cookie-cutter form.
You have people capable of 2000-3000 m/wk of training (because a high work capacity has been developed) but sometimes only one very high CNS stressor a week (because of a high CNS development requiring more recovery)…and you have people who can go max in HI 2-3 times a week (because their CNS is not highly developed) but can’t handle much volume (600-800 m/wk) because the work capacity hasn’t been developed yet.
One size does NOT fit all.
