I recently attended an excellent IAAF coaching course where we amongst others discussed strenght training. The general guideline give is that the lifting should be as follows:
- Eccentric 10 days
- Concentric 21 days
- Main Comp
What was not discussed was wheter the 10 days and 21 days are the actual amount of days that must be lifted in that way e.g lift concentricly for 21 times giving you a couple of weeks in total, or wheter it is the time span that you have to lift in that way, e.g 2 times per week for three week.
Can anyone shed some light on this please.
