Dynamic or Static

Before a sprint I was wondering which should I do? Dynamic stretching or Static Stretching and why?

I recommend dynamic stretches as it does a better job of actually warming up the muscle and getting it ready for running. I say keep the static stretching for after the workout to decrease the amount of DOMS you can get and to help cool the body down.

I do about 5-6 static stretches during my warm up and a lot of dynamic stretches and have found this to work pretty well. I like it. Don’t eliminate them, but save the heavy static stretching for post-workout.

Try it and see what you think. Only you know what helps you best.
