Does anyone know Usian Bolts warm up

I was told by a few people that were at worlds that Bolt takes a maximum of 20 minutes to warm up
Is there any truth to this ?
Does anyone know the warm up ?

Check the post in the strength training section of website. There is a thread called “Usains’ strength training”, but it also includes details of his warm up on the running track.

Does it matter? Probably he has a massage before that and someone is making sure he has the neccessary range of motion so he won’t get hurt and ready to go. So 20 mins is enough for him. Anyway even if you know what he does for warm-up, it’s not going to help any of us. The secret of 9.58 does not lie in the warm-up.

why are you hear than, if you do not want to learn what others do, especially successful athletes!!!

I am here to learn the theories and what ideas people might have to improve a certain aspects of the race. I might incorporate these idea directly or modify them in my program depending on the ability of myathletes. The point was unless you know the whole picture, what usain bolt did the whole day or even the day before, that information is useless. As I said he might have had 2 massages before the race on that day or he has a masseur who stretches him (most of top sprinters do), unless you have all this information it won’t help you much. But anyway good luck in finding the information, you are looking for and hope it helps.

I’m not sure if his warmup would be the same for each round. Since he can easily jog the 10.30 or so required to get through the heats he can afford to save some energy by doing a reduced warmup. For the final, he’s already warm from having done the semi-final a few hours before, so again his warmup may be reduced. As indicated, he (and Asafa, and probably many others) also use massage as part of their warmups, which reduces the need for actively warming up. Finally, sprinters who have been through a taper before a major championship usually find it easier to warm up than when they are not rested as well. In conclusion, I think that copying the warmup someone saw Bolt doing for one of the round at WC could easily lead to sub-optimal performance and potentially to injuries.

For those of you who read German (and are willing to pay some money), the newest issue of the journal “Leichtathletiktraining” contains an analysis of Bolt’s warmups in Berlin:
