I know there are a few other decathletes on here… just wondering if anyone has any certain protocols they follow for the days after a decathlon or even in between the first and second day.
I just finished my 4th decathlon (scored 6933, a PR, thanks to following some good info on the boards here), and although I am not nearly as wrecked as i was after my first 2 decathlons, I still know it is going to take about 2 weeks or so before i am fully recovered.
So far i have just been treating recovery on a day by day basis, making sure I do something but at the same time being careful i don’t jump back in too fast.
Any info/ideas would be greatly appreciated.
