Cleans in CFTS

Hi, I noticed in the CFTS that Charlie used some higher rep ranges for his athletes in the power clean. Can Charlie or anyone else comment on why this was done? Thanks

Charlie wrote that he left the weightlifting program up to the athletes for the most part. Obviously he designed the phases and controlled the volume. But I think exercise selection and rep range (especially in the lower body) was based on the comfort level of the athlete.
