I ran these 200’s faster than I did at the meet sat. lol I felt real good today. It started to rain so I didnt get my plyo’s in.

I was supa weak on my cleans. I barely got the last set of 225. I had to drop the weight.
I didnt have time to do anything else. The schools closed the weight room.
That 200 time will drop fast with some SE training. I’ve been the same way in the past, afraid to run any SE further then 150 in practice and just got to the 200m races scared as hell. The training will make a huge difference.

Man, that last 50m makes a big difference. You dont think so? Don’t think that some SE in the range of that last 50m will help to improve that last 50m in a race?

Felt ok. not great. The temp started to drop during the 120’s so I didnt hit em too hard about 85% Didnt want to get hurt.
MEd ball-overhead, single hop, double hop. All x5

Next meet is on march 13. It is a afternoon to night meet. Im hoping it warms up by then if not I may not run. But I plan on running the 4x1 100 and 200. Im use it to help get me in comp shape. I plan on running about 10.8 in the 100 and mid 22 in the 200.

Speed day
Was about 49 when I got to the track at 8am. I was about to pack it up but i decided to go ahead and warm up. At about 930 it felt a lil warmer with the sun.
2x30 60,50,50,50 meters bs.
THe plan was to run 2x30 and 5x50 bs but we mis measured and ran a 60 on the first rep. I started feeling good after the 60. the 30s and the 60 were not fast because I was still cold. I didnt take my warmups off until the 50’s. Each 50 was under 6.0. between 5.7-5.9.

lol When I say I jogged that 200 I mean I jogged. I ran 22.5 at practice on wednesday. The 100 to tell you the truth I always open at about that, but I think im a lil faster know because of the gpp I had this season. But we will see.

I felt good during the 10s and 20s.
I ran the first 200 in 22.9. I didnt get into my relaxation like I wanted, but it felt easy. I was ready to put one down on the second rep. I made the mistake of talkin instead of putting my clothes back on. Next rep 15 mins later I caught a cramp in each calf on the curve coming out of the blocks. Damn I was ready to roll. The 200m fear is now gone. I tried to wait another 10 mins to try and run but I still felt the cramps.

I wanted to do 3,3,2,2,2 but the damn bar I had was fuckin up my wrists. When I got to 225 I couldnt roll the bar. So I switched to a better bar. The 225 was cake. I went to 245 just see if I still had it. Im felling good. I have gone from 178 last week to 172 this morning. No loss of strength yet. Im getting there!
