Chad Waterbury's Triple workout

This guy stinks and is full of himself. Read this lame article:

http://www.t-nation.com/findArticle.do;jsessionid=913D369DFB42CA68434708E5DF3F8081.ba13?article=04-023-training

What is his goal in this workout?

nothing. Just tryin’ to get his name on t-mag. He’s a joke.

I don’t get the animosity. It does seem like he’s written the same article over and over, but what’s wrong with that program for a BB?

Why the animosity towards the guy?
I know a couple of guys who write for T-mag and they say they are always being pestered to write new workouts/exercises,if Chad has taken the opportunity to get himself published then fair play to him.

I read the article…

I think people want to explore things such as low intensity balance istead of new rep schemes. I don’t know his elite athletes so his training is a bit of a mystery.

he does seem to write the same article over and over
he seems like a cross between john davies and a dumbed down CT

unless you are incredibly stupid or lazy anyone could read up on westside and GPP and put A and B together in a programme with too much volume

anyone know if he really does train SWAT teams and ‘pro’ athletes?

I’d never heard of him training any high level athletes. The main thing he’s contributed is train muscles multiple times in multiple ways. Nothing new.

I doubt we’ll ever see an article on t-mag about feeding the CNS with mobility and med balls…It is a BB mag after all

I think an article like that will be published soon…the bar must be raised.

Does this mean you know one will be?

I like T-mag, but their new articles are weak now. Thank good for Eric and Mike.

Are you aware of Ruggedmag.com Mike has written 1 article there and Eric has quite a few, is on the editorial staff and a regular contributor to the forum.

airbourne,

Interesting avatar…anyway go on avantlabs.com and lurk for a while. Some sick dudes. A lot of underground stuff. Reminds me of Blade. Rugged mag has some potential…

Good stuff clemson. What do you think of Avant labs?

Unless you’re super-strong, I wouldn’t worry about adding resistance to the explosive strength day. Even 400+ raw bench pressers can achieve necessary amounts of tension with bodyweight only push-ups, if the speed is fast enough. You should push up as hard/fast as possible, and your hands should come up off the floor.

is he serious?

Maybe…but elastic work can be higher in volume. Don’t expect power improvements!

Avant has some excellent posters/contributers/discussions in the nutrition drug and supplement forums but the training forum isnt the best.

Both Rugged and Avant have some very good contributors, but we must always remember that in terms of training and nutrition the focus is predominantly BBing - so just bear that in mind.

T-mag have some good contributors also, but I’m not sure the T-nation transformation has been as good for quality we might have expected.
Again though BBing mostly.
And along those lines still - Bodyrecompositon, JohnBerardi etc. etc.

Of course then there’s always our own Regenerationlab …

John Davies’s Powerclean article was just enlightening. T-nation is going down the tubes. I am no player hater but is anyone else thinking what I am thinking. The avant labs forum as well as the rugged mag forum look good. I noticed that clemson is over at avant labs as well.

I wouldn’t classify rugged as mostly bbing. A lot of powerlifting stuff too as well as a few strongmen.
