i cant say right now, havent done any timing or testing. give me about another 8 weeks when i have my first workout with this indoor team and first indoor meet in 9 weeks. if i had to say now i dont feel to fast, but im also loading like hell right now.
For sure, i would rather train under you your self than just the Plan. As would the majority i would imagine. Still, am glad the Plan is there, i would rather train under the plan you have than under the majority of sprint coaches around here!
actually, its hard as hell without a proper coach who knows what they are looking for. Even if you have a camera, you dont know how your technique is till you view the footage some time after the workout. Even then, the person on the camcorder has to know how to get the best footage, i have seen some shocking footage on camera. To have a coach right there, telling you, “your not stepping down enough” or, “why are you not driving your arms today?” or such things, that would help more than anything. Do an effort, have somebody say, “you were just doing this, if you do THIS instead in the next effort, you should get higher hip height or such” Things like that you dont get from a written plan. So the next best thing is DVD’s showing you, and getting your camcorder out and comparing. Much slower process, but at least its something much better than nothing.
lol. you should make another dvd like you did with the guy ashley mort but this time have me in it, i bet it sell esp for the team sports etc.

Don’t get carried away. It better to stay out of a big hole than to have to try to dig yourself out.
lol ur right thats my fear, when it comes time for me to race im gonna be soo overtrained that its going to take me forever to get back to normal.
Then start now!! Don’t wait!!
hey cf why dont u do strength end aka running A’s during the season?
also my tryout will be jan 14 but it only be pre comp for my indoor season the final weeks of the spp program, im wondering would it be ok for me to still perform the running a’s?
You can but it depends on the number and closeness of competitions and the number of training years of the athlete. for example, a younger 400m runner will compete mostly at 200/100 and move up occasionally into the 400. A more seasoned athlete would stay closer to the 400 and therefore could tolerate the Str End without compromising speed.
does the running a’s really effect speed that much
Entirely depends on the distance over which you do them but as you get into the comp season, you can move to concentrating on the Special Endurance to get everything you can out of them without compromise.
well, my indoor comp season workouts will look very similar to the spp but with < vol bc i will be indoors all indoor season and dont want to run 200 and 300 indoors.
hey cf i know we agreed on reducing the number of lifts in each session, im curious on why u didnt perform hamstring work rdl , gluthams during the program?
I didn’t include them in the weight routine because they were a mostly free exercise but we did keep doing them beyond the GPP in a maintenance mode. Refer to the GPP DVD again for the exercises (hyper complex, reverse hyper with straight and bent leg)
i am just making sure, bc as u know i am keeping a journal and some people are curious why i am not doing any back or hamstring work.
hey cf i will be adding some short static strecthing into my program, some like this:
Jog or skip 400m;
Static Flexibility Series1
Sprint drills
Dynamic flexibility
Buildup Runs x2
