my next meet is in about 2 weeks my maxV is what i need alot of work on but i’m shooting for 6.5
What about breath control in practice…I think the key for relaxing is many reps of running in training. This is why the plyometric replacement training has downfalls since you don’t get the chance to reherse what you want to do in a meet. The research on animals and humans show that a slight loss of power happens on the switch when you start inhaling again. The theory is that the itraabdominal pressure changes from the transverse.
That’s probably another benefit of tempo work. Breathing properly becomes second nature, LOL. For those that it doesn’t come naturally to, in addiion to more efficient use of oxygen. Clemson you’re right. It’s like the first few reps of a workout you’re hardly even breathing, then all of the sudden they get harder until you can hardly recover in between the last reps. You really have to work on your breathing not only during the rep but also during the rest.
Everyone seems hung up on race modeling for solutions when just letting things evolve very slowly seems the best path. Slow to grow helps retain what you have learned.
why change something when its 100% completley natural.from the second you are born you breath naturally,if intensity of actions increase then the increase of in/exhalation will increase by itself.
now how easy is that.this is why people don’t reach their full potential over evaluating and over complicating.you ask any great athlete what their thoughts are in an intense situation and they will say one or two points if even anything
