Oh dear god. He looked good last year at the end of season, but wow. Jamaica might have its Olympic Gold after all.

and to think, he seemed like a future 400 gold medalist about 4-5 years ago.

How fast are the next two fastest Jamaicans? How’s Frater looking? Two guys who can run in the 9.7s is a good start to a 4x100m record opportunity, but I don’t think they have the depth.

I think this might mean a 200m record may go down also.

19.32 is still so realitively far out that its insane.

i mean, to determine how much faster he’ll go this year, you have to look at where bolt is in his season prep, and it’s hard to say, but 9.76 is smoking regardless.

mike never ran 9.76 in the 100

it’s mainly changeovers that’d be their problem for a record or even a title.

but frater, steve mullings and some guy i’ve never heard of are all <10.25 already this year, frater back in february in OZ with a basically still wind.

dwight thomas and the ancient chris williams ran 10.14 and 10.15 in cali a few weeks ago with a 2.3 wind.

and from the juniors ranks they have 2 guys in the 10.1-10.2 range last year.

it’s not like they don’t have options, but they’d like frater back to sub 10 form as lead man and someone sub 10.1 on the curve, even with powell and bolt. assuming powells health and form

Spearmon got dominated. Who is Bolt’s coach?

Imagine what he will run when he gets to race 16

Splits would make interesting reading.

A fairly reliable source on another forum says that “it appeared that Bolt slowed down towards the end of the race.” Scary thought…

I guess we’ll see when video percolates through.

You ain’t cool unless you do that

It might, of course, have been an unavoidable slow-down after his legs set themselves on fire at that pace :).

I was there!!!He got a perfect start and by the time he got to 70 m he was blazin then coasted to the finish. Im so excited for Beijing, a new challenger, Powell and Gay better watch their backs. It seems Bolt thrives on home crowd support

I was just telling you all to watch out for Bolt. I must be some sort of prophet. Where is the video for this race?

If only Powell is in peak form…we could see the fastest 100m of all time this august…

Does anyone know what Bolt’s time was prior to this outdoor season…? Let’s do the math…he runs a 9.76 slowing down the last 10-15 meters. Maurice never officially ran that fast. Riiiiggggghhhhtttt.
