Back Injury

Hello,

I have a back problem that is keeping me from lifting weights. I have had this problem for 1-2 months now. It started after I worked on a farm for spring break (cutting/hauling trees, lifting stones 5-100 lb.).

It is in my upper back in the middle of my shoulder blades and comes down a bit. A little bit on the left side of my back coming down a bit. It’s a sharp pain and feels like muscle/spinal problems.

I am going to see a chiropractor this week and see what that will do.

Got any suggestions, advice?

Go see a massage therapist if you can, and a physio. If the chiro is good then they will be able to diagnose the problem as well.

That’s what I am hoping for.

I went to the chiropractor today. He said it was some time of imbalance in my spine. In my upper spine near the shoulder blades and a little lower then that there is an imblance. So all I need to do is ice and then stretch a certain way after, and then when I wake up, do a different exercise. Also, I can’t lift for a few more weeks.

That is good news. Make sure to ice though. It is easy to slack off. I hope that all goes well.

Thanks man, I will make sure to ice at least twice a day.
