I think I have watched every version of this race. How can you not get excited watching this. I would have been flipping out if I was calling this race. Are these annoucers even track fans???
Couldn’t find any other videos with or of the 9.78 0wind. This one has the 9.78, it’s after the 9.74:
It’s odd how every time he breaks a record he is at some low key meet with no comp at all. It is so hard for me to believe that his records are legit. Either by the wind, timing system or other… No doubt the guy is fast but I think if Tyson were there running against him he would have ran a 9.70 or so
join the crew, another powell hater.

the best video found on youtube, has it in slow-mo with the clock very visually defined. The first 60m seemed normal for powell, about mid 6.3X, based on his 30 strides to 60m count. But if he’s covering 60m in under 30 strides now, maybe 29.5 strides or something like that(29.Xstrides)then I can maybe see the 6.2X 60m split, rumour brought up on sprintzone.
LMAO but tyson running 9.70 there that would mean nothing then…
U don’t trust his 2005 and 2006 WR? Why?
Anyway i can see tyson running a 9.74
BUT that 9.78 basic (crap) ah that one is really debateble…

Trust me, I was at Gateshead when he last equalled it last summer - it was legit in every respect, and Gateshead aint a super fast track.
