J.Gatlin 5.5 50 metre or yard ???

he looks a lil out of shape. Maybe its the baggy clothes.

Ben during training…

Ben on the other hand is a lil in shape

I actually have a stupid question…
Why are 6 packs/8 packs (whatever) usually not symmetrical? Look at the above photo for instance… I could understand it for other sports, but 100m sprinting is a perfectly linear form of movement.

yes sprinting is a linear movement, but there is a rotational component to it.

It is natures way of improving the strength of abdominal (“wall”) muscles. Look at brickwork or masonary work. You never place the blocks in conventional columns you place them in a staggered pattern to increase strength.

oh ok, that makes sense!

The only stupid question is the one you don’t ask

padgett 06 regionals 10.00 100m

which one is padgett. clemson looks very tight.

He is the one winning.

The question’s not stupid, but first I thought most ab muscles in sprints are symmetrical. But I’ve got no statistical evidence

Chambers and Greene are symmetrical, Ben and Gatlin are examples of asymetry. So I guess it’s not important for sprints…you’ll find both types sub 10…

it’s a genetic configuration, you can’t move your tendon e muscle with train…
