Agonist- Antagonist Ratios for Slow Concentric Isokkinetic Movements
I saw a few ratios today regarding Joints/Muscles at slow speeds.
Ankle Plantar/ Dorsiflexion Ration
( gastro/soles, tibialis anterior) 3:1
Knee
(Extension/flexion (quad/hamstrings) 3:2
Hip
Extension/flexion (spinal erectors, glut, hamstrings, iliopsoas,rectus abds,tensor
1:1
Question… Example how would one measure one’s strength in the ankle… I see where the ratio is 3:1 in the ankles… I understand the gastrocnemius (calf) ways of strength but what about the shin area?
