Yes, I sometimes, on days that I do not feel like running at all, do A’s and B’s for longer distances (1 length of soccer field) for several sets. Now, in no way does this completely replace tempo runs since runs obviously give best endurance results, but it is a good cross-training (endurance and light resistance) on those blue-down days when you don’t feel like training.
