800m training

Im a 400 runner turned 800 and im looking to run the 1000 at an indoor meet this year. But with my team i train with the sprinters rather than xc. The strength coach has me doing more sprint oriented lifts, does anyone have a middle distance weight program or any idea of how many sets and reps i should be working with? thanks,

We need more of your background before throwing out a weight program. What is your athletic history? (400 times, 800 times, etc), What year are you? Anything will help.

800= 1:55
400= 49.4

I am going to focus on the 800 this year, i want to run the 1000m at a meet too. I am a junior (20 years old)
