I know this been up before, but I was talking to a coach about 400m runners moving up to 800m. And I like the idea that the 800m is an “longsprint” race.

Should, when putting together a program, the speed seassion be 20-60m as in a sprinters or sholud a 800m do shorter SE as his speed?

Full recovery in longer SE-runs or extensive tempo?

Charlies idea about doing endurancework on track and strenght in gym, would this adapted to the 800m, in other words could a “400m-moving up guy” continue with his sprintstrength?
