… and how not to

Does anyone have any info on Dafne Schipper’s training? Best top end speed on the circuit now and probably one of the best there has ever been. I’d expect her to win the title and go well under 22s in the 200m at these WC.

Haven’t been following the sport, what’s going on with Tyson Gay?

Tyson was in the back getting his head beat in with asafa.

While Dafne is good, I think if shelly had kept her foot on the gas it would have been a very ugly race.
I dont think dafne will win the 200. Ive got my money on elaine thompson

SAFP did most of her damage/widened the gap on the field from 3-6 sec. I’d say her top end is still the best.
DS is Wow! also.

agreed, dafne has come on in the last few season in a rush. But SAFP is the one to beat

The quiet professional brings home another World Championship. While the time is no where close to his own WR of 140.91, he did what he needed to win. https://youtu.be/wP2GXc9Z0-k

Fabulous running, Amazing races , excellent sprinting will never be off topic. That’s my HO anyway.

I

She is and has been a Heptathlete and her specialty is the 200 meters. She is the hope of the Netherlands and she looks fantastic.

Chris I think it was a very smart for him to avoid the 200 meters. I don’t know anything about this kid but how was that likely to end for him? Maybe okay but how would it top his tie for 3rd from lane 9? It wouldn’t . And what about his season? No, I agree that he was smart to stay out and apparently he said he was ‘exhausted’.

[QUOTE=Chris6878;252565]That is sad. Especially since Canada has a dog in this race. NBC here couldve atleast had a live stream set up. Track is of little importance to north america.

Apparently the news channel did carry the race but I could not find it when I was searching on the TV so I decided to bail on that and get a live feed which was good but I missed a bunch of the interviews etc. I can’t usually tolerate the commentary. I was very happy our national paper put DeGrasse on the front page and did a really nice job with the article.

I don’t know much about politics and sport.
I did think the lane assignments were interesting.

I was on the IAAF site and found the radio.

Why? What’s going on - different coach?

Lane assigments went according to IAAF rule 163.3.
Inner 4 lanes (4-7 because 1 supposed to be empty on this 9 lane track), to the winners of the semifinal + the fastest runner up
Outside lanes (8-9) to the other two runners up
Inside lanes to the others (not automatically qualifiers).
