150's

While on the topic of 150m here are pages with a fair range of splits for the 100, 150, and 200m, measured in competition for non-elite athletes. The pages are in German, but the numbers are in International.

OMV Stadlau Evening meet and Cricketmeeting in Vienna

ok…
back to 150’s again…
i used a measuring wheel to measure out 30 40 50 60 75 100 120 150 on my track… now i am all set…
its my unloading week this week…
last night i ran 2x150 16.5 for both…
new P.R.!! Acoording ot the mercier calculator 16.5 is equal to a 22.3. i ran this out of blocks and my timer started the clock on my movement.
i then went and ran a 100 in 10.8 out of blocks on my movement.
I think i am ready to compete.

10.27 sprinter practive times (pr’s)

30m 3.4 (injured for a month after)
40m 4.4-4.5
60m 6.4-6.5?

100m?
150m 14.9-15.2?
200m 21.0

I base my SE times off of a 20.50 in the 200m. So if I was running 150’s @ 95%, I need to hit 16.18. I can’t go much faster than that in practice. 15.38 is 100% effort for a 20.5. Also I take 15 minutes rest for these. If I am on a new track and can’t find the exact 150 mark, I just run the first one at 95% and stop around my 16.2 goal. That becomes my finish line. Not error proof of course, but it will get you close.

Good work quik, let us know how you get on…

Tim,

Are these with running starts?

mj,
how are you running yours… i did mine out of blocks.
Also if you find the little white marks in each lane for the hurdles those are 145 meters. If you dont have acess to a measuring wheel just figure out how many feet 5 meters is and make a mark that far back from the hurdle marks.
Also what do you think about that speedtrap system?? worth the investment? im thinking about saving some cash for one.

MrMagoo,
thanx! ill keep everyone posted

The 30-60m was performed from blocks/standing starts
The 120-200m was performed from a standing start.

That 30m time was ridiculous believe me!

Quick,

I use a standing start or walk in to it. The speed trap system would be good it money was endless. Are you really concerned with getting that accurate of a time at practice?? I’m not for that kind of money. That is a lot of therapy or supplements that could be bought.

Tim,

If these times are accurate, you have made drastic improvements. Have you changed anything in your training?

yea man…
my best 30 out of blocks was 3.8 hand and i am only a 10.6 runner. But keep in mind that is from my movement. Add what about .2 with a gun?

Yes It would be unreal, no I havent unfortanetely Im on the DL. These times are from my friend who is from Nigeria. I saw him race Randell Evens and left him in his wake the first 30m. Keep in mind randell evens has gone 6.49 for 60m.

Are you racing this year?

mj,
yea man im crazy when it comes to accuracy… im eventually going to need it in a few years anyway when i start coaching.

I honestly don’t know any times like that for me. Since I train by myself, short sprints are ran on effort for me, not times. I can’t time a 30m and I really don’t even know what a good time is. LOL

plus without a timer which i sometyimes dont have its impossible to time my flying sprints and anything under 150. heck i dont even like timing my 150’s or 200’s myself… i know it slows me down having to reach over.

It must be tough for all of you guys training on your own.

OK Tim. I thought you were saying these are your times. Does your friend still run? a 14.9 150m is sub 20 pace. He would be #1 in the world. You need to start coaching him and make some cash.

I know what 95% feels like. I’ll time 60’s in a meet. A 60m time won’t help me in June, but I don’t pay attention to that kind of detail this time of year.

Stanly Egbor perhaps?
