100 metre compared to 200 metre training

How would you manipulate the training variables to target 200 metre training as opposed to 100 metre training. I’m guessing the principles are very much similar, with perhaps slightly more emphasis on tempo and special endurance for 200 metres. In that case, has something got to give? So, for example, could you reduce the volume of speed development and taxing CNS work such as heavy weights and plyos? I’m not talking dramatically here, just a subtle shift. Or as the longer runs (endurance and tempo) aren’t so taxing on the CNS are you able to maintain the volume of speed and power work?
