good work, did you get to contribute this time?
I did, yes. Was open quite a few times on pass plays but unfortunatley the ball couldn’t get to me (qb sack or not thrown to me). Bye week this week, this should be nice.
Cortez what’s school you go to again?
SRJC?
Palmtag, I go to SRJC in Santa Rosa. You’re at sac state now right?
Yah up at Sac, I come down via Amtrack fairly often to bay area. We should get together some time.

Holy hell what a game. We were down 35-14 at halftime, come back to win the damn game in double overtime. End of regulation score was 35-35, each team scored once, we got the ball back scored again in the 2nd overtime… Other team had an oppurtunity to score once more and send it to 3OT, 4th and 2 on the 2 yard line our defense stops the RB in the backfield. Game over, we rush the field. Never been in any game like that in my entire life.

Pretty tired from yesterday. Got in a few plays (one series) but it was a rarity for many of us to get in. They kept the starters in basically the entire game for this one. Intense from the first snap to the last goal line stand to win the game.
This weekend is going to be HUGE. We play @ home against the #4 ranked team in the state (6-0, 1-0 Conference). This game will be crucial in determining the likley outcome of the conference champ. We got bumped up to #5 CA (6-0, 1-0 Conference as well) so how much better can this situation be?

First loss of the season  Had a 35-21 halftime lead too. Sh*t happens…
6-1 now. (1-1 NorCal Conf)
What happened?
They made a good comeback. We had 4 big drives stopped, all due to costly turnovers (65 yard completion stopped at the 1 yard line AFTER our receiver was clearly down, set the football down, they picked it up and the refs called it a fumble and gave the possesion to them… Strangest call I have ever seen) The other 3 were 2 interceptions, and a fumble.
They scored with :14 seconds left in the 4th quarter on 3rd and 8 to seal the win. Basically a replay of last year against them. We were schocked to say the least.
Dont be too put off. Those referee’ing decisions even themselves out over a full season and im sure ye’ll pick it up again.
good luck

Good that we pulled the win off. 7-1 going into the biggest game of the year. Team that beat us last week lost today, so it comes down to us and the team we play next weekend for the conference champion/norcal title contender. Everything is on the line next week!

This week has been interesting. Had a big chemistry mid term, which I think I did OK on but we’ll see… Then yesterday, on my way to football practice, my roommate and I went head on into a telephone pole.
As he was making a right turn onto another street, his back end fishtailed and we got sideways. By then it was too late to overcorrect and we hit the telephone pole head on at about 25 mph. It was pretty damn scary; good thing we were both wearing our seatbelts. My right ankle was a bit jacked up, but it is OK today. It is just a bit sore and stiff from the impact from me trying to brace myself on the floorboard. Still managed to go to practice and complete it, which I don’t think the coach expected me to but I’m not really one to sit out a practice (I havent missed ONE since we started).
We play the #1 ranked team in the state tomorrow (San Fran City College). This game will determine the rest of our season. If we win, we go into a tie for first place with SF and Foothill; if we lose, our hopes for the state title game will be all but lost. This game is the BIG ONE.

We won… It was the best game of the year. It seemed like a home game we had so many fans. One of our WR’s had 4 TD’s. We were down 27-14 at halftime, then they come back out and come up on us 34-14. Then, we make one of the best comebacks I’ve ever seen any team make. We have heart let me tell you that.
8-1 Overall (3-1 NorCal)
Wow sounds like a hell of a win. Congrats to you and your team.
well done, great result
Thanks guys.

We play San Mateo tomorrow. A win secures a tie for the conference championship and a hope for the norcal championship game berth.
Injuries that I’m dealing with currently:
1.) Sprained right ankle (from car accident)
2.) Minor AC Separation on left shoulder
3.) Sore right knee (feels deep underneath the patella-knee cap)
4.) Sore/tight left quadricep (vastus lateralis) from previous quad strain in the summer.
5.) Jammed thumb/ring finger on right hand
6.) Lower back hurts every once in a while.
Other than that, I’m fine
