School started monday. Classes are College Algebra, General Chemistry (Lab and Lecture), and Humanities… Plus football thrown in there, pretty busy schedule! Book prices are crazy like always…

Been doing the normal routine latley, but now football meetings are at 3:15, followed by 4-6 practice Tuesday-Thursday. Friday walkthroughs, Saturday Games. Monday is film. Sundays off.

I got bumped up in the depth chart again today (FINALLY!!!). It’s about damn time. I’m not letting anyone take my spot now, and now I’m after the 2nd group spot…

Weights on Monday:
Deadlifts (Sumo) 1 x 4 (320), 2 x 4 (365)
Incline BB Press 3 x 5 (205), 1 x 3 (215)
Lat Pulldowns : 4 x 8
45 Degree Weighted Hypers (35 Lb.) : 3 x 10
DB Hammer Curls 3 x 8 (40’s)
Abs ~ 100

Im glad I’m finally getting some respect out there… Long overdue. (IMO :cool: )

Scrimmage this weekend went well. We dominated both sides of the ball. I had one catch on a WR screen that I took for 13 yards. Felt pretty good, but would’ve been better if I hadn’t tripped over my damn feet in the open field! ARGH :cool: Did well on stalk blocks, routes, etc…

Game week 1 this week. We play Mendocino College at Home this weekend at 1. CAN’T WAIT!

Pretty decent day of practice today after our win this weekend. I got more reps than usual today, so that’s always good. I felt really fast today, quad didnt bother me much at all. Good sign again.

Weights

Deadlifts 1 x 5 (320), 3 x 3 (365)
Incline Bench Press 3 x 5 (205)
Weighted Pull-Ups (35 lb. plate attatched) : 3 x 6
Close Grip Bench 2 x 8 (180)
DB Hammer Curl 2 x 8 each arm (40’s)

Been trying to focus on eating much better, including more veggies, fruits, and lean protein into the diet. So far it’s been going well I’ve been sticking to it pretty good. Been getting AT LEAST my bodyweight in protein per day, plus at least 3-4 servings of veggies and 3-4 servings of fruit on top of everything else; striving for 3000+ calories/day at the minimum

Also using some basic supplements as of late:
Fish Oil, Creatine Mono (3-5g/day), GROW! Whey, and Glutamine on intense days.

Bodyweight consistent at 182 or so also.

John: hey bud. good job with all the work you been putting in. congrats on the spot you’ve earned and also love the attitude about it.

Re: your food. if you can afford it i’d recommend you getting a greens product with some probiotics in it. very valuable.

We won our game, 41-27. Close game, alot of action, big plays, etc… Didn’t see as much action this game unfortunatley…

My legs felt strange today… Like they were tight and feeling like they weren’t getting enough circulation during practice. Strange feeling but didn’t affect my running or anything… Little sluggish though, maybe from this weekend… Hmmm…

Weights:

Deadlift 3 x 3 (330, 365, 365), 2 x 2 (375)
Bench Press 1 x 5 (230), 2 x 4 (240)- Couldn’t go as heavy as I would’ve liked, no spotter today.
Seated Cable Row 3 x 12 (170)
DB Shrugs 3 x 10 (80’s)

Cut it a bit shorter today, was tired and had to study for math… Which I still have more to do. Great!

Also- I’ve been helping my girlfriend with her weights and she’s been improving very well. Today she did a Back Squat session of 1 x 6 (90), 1 x 5 (105), 1 x 4 (115), and 1 x 3 (120). Not bad considering I only had her start squatting with weight less than 2 months ago. Form is great though. Today also had her do 3 x 3 with lots of rest in Bench Press (70 lbs.), 3 x 12 cable row, and 3 x 6 RDL. She’s progressing nicely.

Have her on other lifts as well, front squat etc… She’s the highjumper I had talked about a while back…

4-0!!

(Even though we played a horrible 1st half; 21-7 at halftime and our qb threw 5 INTs, one that went for a TD; 6 overall turnovers from the offense. Not good)

What about you, have you caught any passes yet? I know how you feel if the ball is never thrown to you when you are a receiver. It is the most frustrating thing.

Only 1 pass so far. Sucks but oh well. I may be a CB after tomorrow, I still have to talk it over w/ my coach.

Chemistry in college sucks; Been studying/doing homework for hours now… Helps if I didn’t procrastinate, but that’s me. :smiley: 3:30 a.m. and still going strong.

Been a crazy week. A lot of studying/homework/tests… We play Diablo Valley College in our only night game of the year! Should be a really good game. We have a band to play for us for the first time all year, a mascot (which we havent had for years aparently), and some other cool stuff. Free shirts/jackets for the game (called the Clo Classic).

Should be good!
