What a relief - the Germans gone…if you lived over here, had to face all the screaming drunk fans, all the reports and interviews how they are the best in the world and how they are the real favourites…not any more. Thank god.
On the other hand surely the best German team since 1990. Ironically in 2002 they were much worse but so lucky to reach the final.
France is the BIG surprise to me. Old Zidane deserves a little more fame at the end of his career.
Portugal, too, but they showed a lot of good performances over the last years. Often they were unlucky and in 2002 they mainly dropped out because in the World Cup in Asia you had to beat the Asian teams and the referees.
Spain and Italy shared that fate.
I guess in 2010 there will be lots of African teams in the quaterfinal or further…

WAW… I couldn’t have planned it better. I Cried again this time. The penelty shoot out… everything just reminded me of the same old game. But this time its the tears of joy… I have nothing agaist france. What they did to brazil was awsome. Some one needs to understand that soccer is way much more than a few clever dribbles. Every soccer player can dribbel. But they don’t just do it all the time for no reason like the brazilians!!!
Isn’t grudges when you don’t forget bad things. Isn’t it. I don’t forget them. So I hold a grudge. When it comes to Brazilian soccer then I do hold one. Do you know that in my country people love brazilian soccer. Ask them why? And the answers are stupid. Very stupid!! They like Argentina because its beside brazil, and they like portugal because they have a brazilian coach. They would’ve even went for portugal if they had no brazilian coach because May be they both speak the same language. Or may be because the numbers on the T-shirts of Portagal are YELLOW!!! Not just in my country. But in a lot of places. I don’t like that kind of attitude. I like to watch football, tactics and execution. I’m not in a circus. When I go there I will probably be happy to watch stunts.

Sorry for the French, they were the better team in the game (except first half), but Italy deserves WC title if one looks at the whole tournament.
Besides one own goal and a penalty (which was not justified) they got NOT A SINGLE goal during the whole WC games! Simply incredible.
I wonder how French National team will develop from now on. Without Zidane and Viera they are no team at all.
