Which CF product should I get ?

Hi, out of all charlie’s dvds, which one is the most practical for the self training sprinter ?

Do you think Fundementals is a good choice or is it like “yea, i knew that before-read it in a book…”

I’d suggest getting the gpp disc-helps you to form your training plans and gives you many different ideas on how to structure your program. It’s very useful in my opinion.

thanks !i’ll search the site for some reviews.
i’ll focus my question a bit more: which DVD will make me run better in the short term, like days and weeks.
General planning is less important for now, it’s not gonna be serious anyway without a coach, im not fooling myself. it sucks to focus on running fast while having to think about your mistakes all the time.

I need something light that I can understand and implement right away in my own sprint sessions. he has so many over there at the store its confusing lol

GPP Download for general running technique and lots of ideas for training or if you want to know about starts then the Fundamentals 1: Speed & Strength is good. There are reviews of the products here:

http://www.charliefrancis.com/community/forumdisplay.php?s=&f=23&page=1&pp=25&sort=lastpost&order=desc&daysprune=-1

If you can only see 3 or so threads then change the display options to “from the beginning”.

I always think Speed Trap is a great start for anyone

Books are eh… i read CFTS and all but nothing beats videos…

CFTS + Forum Review is great and cheap.

In order
GPP & Vancouver 04
Fundamentals 1
Taper

Those DVDs will give you the basis of a very good year however you need to adapt the info to suit.

Rocking the boat here…I liked the Vancouver 2003 tapes.

doesn’t count if not a DVD :stuck_out_tongue:

What do they cover?

It covered several topics covered in Vancouver 2004 minus the focused long-short discussion however it was 2hrs long and provided lots of extra discussion and tidbits.

hehe everyone suggests something else… i guess its all just great ! BUT im kinda short on cash right now, and CF’s stuff arent cheap, but its the best coach in the world so its worth it.

General planning is less important for now

its GPP vs Fundamentals…

If it is GPP versus Fundamentals 1 then I suggest GPP.

cool, i think i’ll get the gpp first. does it teach you the correct form, some block starts, warmups, armwork etc ?
