when does camp starts and are you starting?

Report August 1st and yes I am.

kool, ball out.

Will do, appreciate it man

tough lost today man, i expected more from baylor, guess things havent change.

I did too, and I didn’t really expect this much of a QB Frenzy before the game. Don’t give your hopes up this early for them, you never know what might happen(especially when Twhite gets back).

hes hurt again. ur boy got cut from the boys.

I didn’t play this week (quad strain lingering from camp). Are you talking about Khari?

i was talking about that rb he loved from uofh. blame the injury on ur strength coach. lol

Ha why do you say that? Anyways it had nothing to do with preparation or training.

just joking dude.

Glad to see you back in action. 3 catches for 50yds and 1 td is a great start back. You burned that guy on that td pass. The jet sweep play you ran looked pretty cool even though you only gained 8yds on it. Keep it up twhite!

Thanks man, it was great to get out there again. How did your team do?

My team did well. We won 39-13. I had 5 tackles, 1 tfl, 1 sack. Did alright but I think I might have separated my shoulder again.

It’s been a while since I posted here because we are currently in-season, but I wanted to bounce some things off people on the board and see what they think. I’ve got to find a way to work my explosiveness and reactivity without fatiguing myself further. I know the general advice around here is to push strength in-season because it is the farthest away from on field demands and is the first quality to deteriorate. However, I can’t really push squats too hard because I would dig myself deeper into fatigue that I may not fully recover from. I need to do two things somehow: First, I need to maintain/add size to my post. chain which has gotten smaller throughout the season. Second, I really think I could benefit from some super low volume plyos early in the week to keep my reactivity sharp, but this is generally frowned on for various reasons. Thoughts?

My inseason football athletes train explosion and power inseason, below is one of the setups we use.

We try and get 2-3 power workouts per day:

Each power workout consist of:

1: bw jump movement, box jumps, spilt jumps etc

2: weighted movement, box snatches, box cleans etc

3: throwing movement, overhead med ball throw, woodchopper throws.

We will squat once a week using a 3 week load setup, week 1 and 2 we are between 65-75% and week 3 we will attempt 80-85% for 3-5 reps. Inseason we will hit the post chain everyday its part of our warmup series.
