question 1: would you do special endurance runs in your fall prep training??
question 2: in charlies 2002 forum review at the end he gives sample workouts, for example 3 high intensity days: would this be something you could do during fall training??
mon: runs up to 60m/medballs and plyos
tue: tempos 2000m/ medballs core
wed: starts and special endurance 250’s/plyos
thur: tempos 2000m/medball core
fri: starts and run 80-100-120/medball and plyos
sat: tempos2000m
I’d personal prefer a tues thurs sun or mon wed sat to give more recovery time and not pack eveyrthing into 5 days. Spread it out over 7. As for runs u need to decide if your doing a long to short or short to long and how long gpp is and what way you want to start it before you stRT selecting distances. The van seminar 2004 goes quite well over this.
Doesn’t it end up being the same either way? You would have Sun-Tues-Thurs (a 5 day span) or Tues-Thurs-Sat (another 5 day span) with just a difference in time of week you get the rest.
short to long and long to short are the two training ends u can use to train for a track season one starts longer distance with low break tghe other short distance end short break. Or for short one does more high end speed and incorporates endurance and the other goes endurance and incorporates speed.
