Tommy John

Kershaw going today vs Kc Royals, if you are a betting man I would fade him but the Vegas smart money is increasing throughout the day.

Kershaw, who never has faced the Royals, is 4-1 with a 3.08 ERA in five road starts.

Kershaw has great advance metrics. Number 1 overall and 1 vs righties and 5 vs lefties. Top 20 in 8 out 10 in the advance metrics.

Kc not very good vs lefties number 25 overall.

Last 5 no hitter next game: Name, win/lose, innings, and hits

beckett l 5 2
alvarez l 3 6
lincecum l 3.2 8
bailey l 5.2 4
bailey nd 4 0

Game 1:
8ip, 6hits, 0er, 8so,108/70strikes

Great game from Kershaw, I think the 108 pitches is kinda high for tonight. Most guys who toss NO hitters usually do so with a high pitch count Kershaw only needed 107. I would assume this was one of the reasons why the staff felt comfortable with the high work load tonight. Let’s not forget how efficient he was, only 38 balls.

Lincecum just threw another NO NO. 113/73 strikes, he will blow up in his next start.

Very Nice.
I am all about all the NOR. CAL teams.

Gm 2:7ip, 5hits, 0er,13so, 109/74strikes

Shows us that the best can overcome things that the avg guy can’t.

Timmy Gm 1: 8ip, 4hits, 0er, 6so,113/73 strikes.

Can’t tell a lot from these numbers, cards offense is bad this year. Boston and Cards were two of the best last year and this year they are at the bottom.

Little late - Kidney stones kicked my ass for a couple days.

After a shitty start our friend Josh is on the dl.
Dodgers placed RHP Josh Beckett on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to July 7, with a left hip impingement.

With the All-Star break coming up, Beckett might only have to miss one start.

Bronson Arroyo has decided to undergo Tommy John surgery.

Arroyo had been hoping to rehab the sprained ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow, but he had an MRI last month which showed the UCL had come completely off the bone.

BREAKING NEWS: NYY FANS-

Masahiro Tanaka has been diagnosed with a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament.

Oh boy. The Yankees are saying that the tear is small and Tanaka could return after six weeks following a platelet-rich plasma injection. The club noted that the right-hander has seen three doctors and none of them have recommended surgery at this point. However, general manager Brian Cashman also isn’t ruling out an operation eventually being required. Tanaka is in the first year of a seven-year, $155 million contract.

He was throwing the split finger fast ball too much. If you hold up the number 2 sign and apply pressure you can feel the stress running down the arm now think about doing the samething with a baseball in your hand.

Dang!! You’re not kidding!
