well, if u can’t respond then that’s the best thing 2 do.
the 10,74 that merlene ran was the 4th fastest time in the world at that time and she did it at 36.
the point of my whole argument was that if u stay injury free u should peak in ur 30ties if u r a world class athlete
A better question would be:
Why a single country like Nigeria has more sub 10.30 than the addition of all the other African coutries? Senegaleses and Kenyans are Black too.
Why Jamaïca and Trinidad has provided faster men than Cuba* and French West Indies (Guadeloupe, Martinique) ? (They are all Blacks out there and they are supposed to come from the same area in Africa)
Once you will start to think about it, you’ll see that:
- there are as many differences between Blacks and Blacks as between Blacks and Whites,
- social and training issues are more important than beeing Black or White.
Then, other tough questions for you regarding 100m history :
- why GDR women were more successful then USSR women, and
- why USSR men where more successful than GDR men, and
- why both countries failed to produce sub10 men while they had several sub11 (even sub10.90) women ?
- (clue) think about where the Cuban training methods are coming from, and where Jamaïcan/Trinidadian training is coming from.
I’ll wait for your book instead… great coach soon to be greater than ALL that have come before you. You have not answered anything that I have put to you with credibility so lets leave it at that and wait for your great book. When will it be published by the way?
when the research is complete.
i don’t understand. is this 4 my benifit or someone else? because i definintly did’nt say anything about not having game skills.
amongst others, one good reason can b that nigeria is the most populous country in africa some times exceeding the other countries population by 100 000 000 people

the answer 2 this question is the same as 4 the question: why out of the 52 sprinters 2 have run under 10s, 22 have come out the U.S.A? the usa is simply the world leader in sprint training. in fact very few of the sub 10 s sprinters have been trained anywhere else other than the usa or by coaches other than US coaches.
Once you will start to think about it, you’ll see that:
- there are as many differences between Blacks and Blacks as between Blacks and Whites,
i fully agree with this statement. there r many black sprinters that have the same intra-muscular problems as white sprinters. that’s y out of the thousand plus sprinters that have tried only 52 have succeeded in running sub-10
- social and training issues are more important than beeing Black or White.
true bt there is a stigma with white sprinters . training should b designed 2 rectify the problem not only develop the sprinter in the usual way.

2 answer these questions u have 2 understand the culture of the different societies. i’ve always thought that if white woman can do the bussiness white men should also b able 2 as well.
I think what “Jingle All the Way” is saying; (correct me if im wrong)
Is, you might have to train a tallented black guy one way,
and a talanted white guy another way!
But, is that not what charlie has been saying in a sence, not that he talks black n white, but guys with different strengths n weakness need different training. Might be short to long, or long to short, might be bbing exercises or more Olifting - depending on previous training and strength levels. One blancket program wont fit all, or even half. Let along just cover blacks or just cover whites, it aint that simple.
now we r starting 2 get the idea. it’s important 2 identify the weakness and train 2 strengthen it.
This was raised recently with CF’s response being that you should enhance strengths. Focusing too much on eliminating weaknesses results in an average athlete with no strengths.
In the past, everyone looked for weaknesses- which is fine in the beginning, but after some time, the key is to minimise weaknesses but play to your strengths.
I think this is a great point. If you only train to improve your weaknesses you will end-up mediocre at everything.
“A jack of all trades and a master of none.”
depends of course what ur weakness is. if it’s detrimental 2 ur success then it becomes top priority.
Or maybe, you have just picked the wrong event?
if u have the motor( the correct amount of ft muscle fibers) u have the correct nervous system and lots of heart, u can adapt urself by eliminating ur faults with the CORRECT systematic training programe.
Read again my post, Nigeria has as much sub10.30 sprinters than the whole rest of Africa, which exceed by far the population of Nigeria.
YOU have a stigma with white sprinters.
The questions i posted for you were supposed to make you think about why Guadeloupe and Cuba failed to produce sub10 sprinter (low altitude) while Jamaïca and Trinidad have several (and Martinique 1). Instead of pointing out the fact that Whites never ran sub 10, you should include some Black population (countries, islands) which never did it either, in spite of great efforts from athletes, coaches and scientists, and big success in other events (especially Cuba).
Cuba? Didn’t Silvio Leonard go under 10 in 1977?
Leonard did it once in high altitude, his second best is 10.03 wind +1.7 in Habana.
At the end of 2001, Cuba had 18 men at 10.30 or under (population of Cuba about 11,200,000) vs 33 for Jamaica (population 2,500,000) and 11 for Trinidad & Tobago (population 1,300,000). On the other hand, Cuba had 21 Triple Jumpers over 16.80m while Jamaïca had only one. And i’m not even talking about Throws, even though Tessa Sanderson had Jamaican roots.
Training education is more important than supposed superiority of races, that’s why i’m trying to prove.
They love to work like hell in Cuba. One of my athletes trained with them for a while and they were doing massive numbers of plyos on the beach. He was getting wiped and a couple of the Cuban guys began to get up their nerve. They asked the coach, who was lounging in a deck chair: “How much longer are we going to do this for?”
The coach replied: “Till I start to sweat!”
