IS CORRECT(???)…The true secret to strength gains is not to increase the strength of your muscles, but to increase the strength of your tendons and ligaments. Your tendons and ligaments are the foundation of your strength. Training with heavy band tension does just that. The bands are constantly pulling against you, its that tension that increases the strength of your tendons and ligaments. The stronger your tendons and ligaments, the more weight your muscles can then lift.
be careful on the volume of band training you use since its very stressful on the body.
high rep or depletion set body weight exercises are good for increasing tendon and ligament strength.
As is high number meball throws.
This is interesting as I thought low rep (High tension) was the best way to create higher tendon strength.
charlie also answers this question in the forum review…
let me add that you should venture into the use of bands slowly as it is VERY stressful on the joints
Would isometrics help strengthen tendons and ligaments?
this a interesting topic, I’d like to know more too.
