Tony, it is imperative for a sprinter to perform four tempo workouts per week in order to cause physiological adaptations specific to speed development. An example tempo workout is 10 reps of 100m while towing a weighted sled of at least 1.5 times the athlete’s bodyweight. These workouts should be followed immediately by weighted depth jumps onto a swiss ball which will improve proprioception and general organism strength. Good luck.
