Hi Charlie really appreciate your help on this toipic I think I’m speaking for a few jumpers out there.
Now I know you train in the range for the event i.e what does the event require as in your continuam charts highlighting the various sports and where they fit in. Now my question is this since lomg jumpers rarely go over 50m max more like 40-45m in any run excluding world class jumpers could you give some assitance as to what kind of sprint seesions to do.
the question i guess i am really asking is how do you periodise the sprints over the 12 weeks in spp2 for example theres only so many 50m and flying work you can do so is there a basic template that you could suggets to build to? variation is key and i just want some ideas as to how to increase
I personally needed to increase my speed and followed a modified version of your 60m spp1 speed progression its worked really well, hip height is better running relaxed and the basics are there good sprint position and full extension etc. now do i bring in the sprints closer to run up work on top of what i do or do i have some need to go out futher ?
