okay i weighttrained on thursday and always do power cleans, i have dropped squats but decided to do them for that day, and long and behold i was sore like a muthsucka on friday, and even more on saturday where we had track practice. I didnt know we had a 60m trial handtimed, after warming up i was still sore, primarily my quads and adductors, as well as my triceps. it was somewhat sore throughtout the practice till the end where i had to cut it short at the 150m runs. My ass was locking somewhat tight and my 60m dash was 7.64ht running this time being very sore, could it be faster if i was fresh or it wouldnt make a difference if you warmed up all nice but seemingly sore throughout practice?
I might be kidding myself but my friend on the run ran a 7.28ht for his 60m dash, usually im right up to him at the 15m mark and fade alittle. Today i was abit far behind him, so im not sure need suggestions or opinons.
Another thing is the tracks if you run a track that has been tranished by rain and snow for a few years do you run faster on new tracks? Me including the other atheletes run 3-5 tenths faster on other tracks compared to ours, so im taking in all these variables, wondering if there is any im missing.
Wow, he actually ran a lower time than his handtimed. I’m still trying to break my 7.09ht from the December.
Being sore and tight is a fairly big difference than not. Basically your muscles have not recovered enough and you won’t be getting the normal power you would get feeling 100%.
