hello everyone. i started training seriously last year around september by the end of the year my pbs were 11.62, 23.45 and 52.49 E. My training load has increased alot since last year and we have been doing a lot of long reps 600 500… My times didnt get any better infact they got worse i was stuck around 12.00 24.00 and 54.00… my aim is to run 50.00 by next year… the first 400 i ran this year was 55 secs and was very discouraging… so you think that a 50sec out of my reach or do you have to get slower before you get faster
depends entirely on the program you choose. it must suit your level and physical ability/tolerance. A good program will see you move forward. Have a look at the GPP download and the Vanc DVds as a reference point- but not for specific workouts. Again you need to suit your own level and your program should see you getting faster. It’s always better to err on the low side as you’ll still progress, but go too far and you’ll get worse.
