About the same as a STJ, not much.

If you take two untrained people off the street and have them do an SLJ, the one who jumps further will probably (although not neccesarily) be the faster sprinter. Training to increase your SLJ however will have limited impact on sprinting ability. I’d think SLJ would have more impact on your starting speed, because it’s more horizontal.

BTW, SLJ= Standing Long Jump
