Ive read extensive threads about peoples trouble with them, but they didnt he me. I have pain in my interior lower leg. Because I got out the spikes today for a 300m SE. I believe Im a supinator, and am pretty heavy. Could this be a muscular issue that will be improved with time and recovery? Would strengthening my dorsiflexors help?
Ya stronger shins = less/no shin splints

Yeah, just treat the symptom and don’t even think about the cause… until you break your shin bone or tear your achilles :eek:
Unless you treat the cause, it’ll keep coming back… You can ice, massage all you want, you’ll still build up scar tissue.
See the physio. You need to strike a balance between treating the cause AND the symptoms.
