Schroeder and DB's Periodization

Is there anyone who follows Schroeder’s methods? or knows his methods or followed his seminars? What is the difference compared to DB?

I read that Jay’s program are organized in this way:

  1. Extreme iso for work capacity, increases fast twitch fiber volume, programs proper muscle firing patterns, and builds up sufficient ROM

  2. The trainee learns to absorb force through various depth drops.

  3. Train to produce force.

  4. Sport specific trainings such speed, strength-speed etc.

Do you know phase 2-3-4 in particular?

Is there a logic with which training means are organized ?

For example a progression in weight or
a progression of %RM ?
I am not referring to the drop-off used of 3-7%, but as the means follow over time in a block of time.
Is there a logical combination or rotation of means to be followed in a single wo?

TNX in advance.

99.999999999999% of the greatest athletes in history and thousands of olympic champions in all sports never heard of Jay Schroeder/Dietrich (I dont really exist) Buchenholz. They all built their strength, speed, power etc with regular old free weight full range of motion lifts combined with sprints/plyometrics.

Someone told me that players of the last superbowl were trained by him, as well Archuletta.

However I am not interesting in this, it is true that he does not invent all his means, but his reinterpretation of some isometric and KEAT means are interesting.

Not to copy his system at par, but for completeness and variety of stimuli.

They are quite different. If you want to learn them then go train with him. It is crazy stuff. But if you don’t train with him you would never be able to do it anyway so don’t worry about it! Seriously the whole system is built on a completely different philosophy to Charlie’s and the first thing it trains is mental toughness. Without Jay shouting at you I doubt you would have the will to do his session.

Oh God. Not this again.

LOL …

I prefer MC Hammer’s lateral agility workouts.

I know seriously.

I agree Dimitry, it is very interesting what Jay does. As I stated Mark Maclaughlin does great things but people tend keep things to themselves.

Who says what Maclaughlin does is any good or better than what any other respectable coaches are doing?

Jay Schroeder has finally opened his blog where we can write comments on his video:

You don’t know How I agree with you!
