And take my word for it here, weights will not transfer over to the track without significant track work. Don’t get your hopes up and look for a PR on your first day back. If your strength has gone up, your times will drop as you get your speed and SE work in.
I’ve made the mistake of relying too much on weight work in the past, and it hurt my times.
