question regarding volume of training v intensification


Is it correct to interpret the graph in forum review 2 " Interplay of volume and Itensity" that an athlete with two or less years of athetic training years shoud do about 90% high intensity training( max speed) against a 10 % of low intesity training(tempo).

Is this apllicable on high school kids as well.

Don’t take that as written in stone but that is the basic idea. It is very well explained in the Vancouver DVDs. As training age rises the components need to be split up more and more in order for the athlete to progress.

Can anyone let me know how I can access graphs etc in the Forum Review please. I feel I am missing out a bit on some of the posts as I havn’t worked out how to access some of the information you guys are referring to. Many thanks.
