Well i have a good way to monitor my conditoning, by way of microsoft excel. I was wondering though how do you guys monitor all your training to check if you are getting overtrained.
I am a football [soccer] player so many hours are spent on technique each day. Obviously the conditioning is done first, whilst fresh but how do you monitor if you are getting over trained from the technical side of things? Heart rate?
I am asking this because i am prone to niggling injuries, and am also prone to working to hard during the technical side of my game causing overtraining easily.
EG i might do weights for an hour in the morning have a rest for an hour do 3 hours ballwork and then another 2 hours in the afternoon. That is an extreme example.
At the moment i am limiting the technical side of my game to increase my max strength so i can begin plyos etc and increase time spent working on technique.
So to sum up: How can i monitor ALL my training so i can still practise technique many hours a day and still avoid overtraining?
