Powertec (Leverage)Squat Machine

My local gym has just gotten one of these and since my Squat form is average at best, I was wondering if using this would erase it? I know that the squat machine eliminates the use of balancing the bar and does take some stress off the back, but would I get the same desired effect as a normal barbell back squat with the Squat Machine?

also you can do calf raises on it and there is an incline on it so you could put your feet on it. I also have seen people using it where they would face to the outside of it and put their feet on the incline and “explode” outwards as if going to tackle somebody or shoot out of the blocks…

Well machines just don’t seem to carry over very well to athletic performance, due to the lack of balance etc
