Can someone please analyse my mechanics? I am trying to become a better sprinter but there has to be something majorly wrong with my mechanics becasue I am just plain slow once a get out of my drive phase. I have pretty good power. I vertical jump 34", standing long jump 10’, and run hand timed 30 meters in about 3.9. My 30 m fly is atrocious (3.3)! I am a 22 ft + long jumper, even with this horible top speed. My feet turn out horribly thru all phases of sprinting. Can you point out any other problems. My flexibility is far from optimal, I do know that. Seriously though, I am flat slow…55 M = 6.88, 100 M = 11.73. My goal is to run sub 11 someday.
I would include some more video if you think it is a mechanics issue because it is hard to say anything based on just the stills.
I didn’t see anything out of the ordinary. I think most issues you have would probably be corrected when you get more flexible and mobile, more fit, and stronger, which is why I think it’d be a good idea to look at the training you have been doing.
Your 30m fly isn’t unusual for high 11sec runner. Keep in mind your 3.9ht 30m is probably more like 4.3 or higher if you got electronic timing and reaction time as well, so that is something to consider.
