OLD-SCHOOL PLYO TRAINING ON THE INDONESIAN ISLAND OF NIAS. THE LOCALS SHOW THEIR SKILL BY CLEARING A 2M PILE OF STONES.
From an interview with Vyacheslav Evstraov, coach of 800m Gold medalist Yuriy Borzakovskiy (translated from Russian):
Some form of strength training is done on an almost daily basis, not in large amounts, but in different forms: throwing stones during circuit training, doing gymnastics on the ground, the weight room.
They just ran and cleared 2m like that?
Lifting the stones into position was the hard part.
TNT
Barefoot and landing on rock. Tell you what, these guys look Fit and you can bet none of them have ever seen a squat rack.
There looks to be some type of step stone or ramp on the right side of this first pic. And it does appear he took off from that side of the stones, as does the guy in the second pic. Not to mention that, if this were real, these guys would be scissor kicking at 7 feet, which is like…decent…like not too bad at least…
ha, and by the time the guys 30, landing on stones like that, he would have a hard time walking i bet. Or he will still be running strong once he is like 90??
LOL, What is rerally crazy is that floating arm between the legs of the guy jumping for the ball…
looks like someone forgot to edit after doctoring
They didn’t have to edit- just dropped him from a crane!
That’s the arm of the guy underneath that he used to push himslef up on … if you ever see it live they run jump, place a foot or knee on the hip, back or shoulder of the guy in front and bang have an extra step-up to get some spectactular catches …
